One said that several people had been taken hostage in a holiday resort in Russia by gunmen demanding the release of Chechen prisoners. The other said that 18,000 Chechens had gone missing during Russia's crackdown of the past 11 months in Chechnya. Guess which article came top of the column and had the larger headline.
