Madam, - I read with interest the front-page article (April 27th) which highlighted Minister for Enterprise Micheál Martin's sudden U-turn on the credit card surcharge ban. It clearly indicates the power of many lobby interests in this country.
If the Irish Travel Agents' Association succeeds in its bid to "influence" the Minister's decision then I must ask: why hold an election? It is certainly evident that those who are apparently in control of making this country's laws aren't even on the ballot! - Yours, etc,
