Madam, - John Burnett (July 27th) is by no means alone in his anger about cross-border handling charges on credit card transactions.
However, he is mistaken in calling this the "latest move" by banks to increase further their profits. On querying this charge with our bank recently, my wife was informed that the charge has always been there. The difference is that they now have to tell you about it! - Yours, etc,
