Sir, – I read with interest, an article on August 12th, which you published entitled "Cross-Border meetings held on Covid certs for Irish citizens in the North" on IrishTimes.com.
I was searching online today, as I do each week, for any updates regarding this from the Irish Government and came across none.
Is the Government actually acting on this, as there seems to have been no visible progress in the matter.
I am writing not as an Irish citizen in the North, but as one who lives (and was born) in Donegal, working across the Border and so was eligible and accepted the vaccination in the North as at the time the Republic wait-time for my age group was so far behind.
I work in a close contact, face-to-face setting in education and did not want to wait for many months for the Republic to catch up with vaccinations.
It feels like yet again, Border workers are being forgotten about. – Yours, etc,
MARIA McHUGH,
Moville,
Co Donegal.
