Cuts in Dublin Bus services

Madam, – Dublin Bus plans to reduce its fleet of buses by over 100, reduce services and, possibly, cut some routes.

This month Dublin Bus increased its fares by 10 per cent.

Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey says his aim will be to have more passengers using Dublin Bus by the end of this year.

An interesting paradox, don’t you think? – Yours, etc,

Madam, – If the number of buses on our streets are to be reduced I hope Dublin Bus will start with those that pass me at rush hour displaying the message “Out of Service”. – Yours, etc.,
