Last year I took part in the anti-war parade in Dublin and shared the platform with some of the leaders.
Two conflicting emotions: I am a pacifist, but I'm going to Normandy to commemorate the many Irish volunteers who fought and died there and are more or less forgotten, airbrushed out of our history. I will be remembering and praying for them at the religious services.
I would like to invite any ex-service families, relations or friends, who wish them to be remembered to contact me and I will be privileged to do so. - Yours, etc.,
