Madam, - Roy Stanley (Nov 4th) refers to a number of typographical errors in a security advertisement published in the national newspapers last week on behalf of the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA).

The DAA can of course speak for itself, but in our view the company is frequently used as a soft target for the shortcomings of other service providers at Dublin Airport and elsewhere.

On this occasion, our own agency was to blame for the errors contained within the advertising copy sent to the newspapers.

We have expressed our regrets to the DAA for this unfortunate lapse in standards and would like to take this opportunity to do likewise to readers of The Irish Times. - Yours, etc,
