Madam, - Of CJ Haughey, his brother Fr Eoghan observed: "Ní fheicimíd a leithéid arís." Buíochas le Dia. - Is mise,

Madam, - Surely Minister for Transport Martin Cullen's endorsement of the proposed renaming of the Dublin Port Tunnel or the IFSC after the late Charles Haughey (Irish Times June 20th) ought to be sufficient for both ideas to fail miserably?
I truly hope so. - Yours, etc,
CLAIRE REILLY, Tircallen, Stranorlar, Co Donegal.
Madam, - As a regular reader of your newspaper, I strongly object to the cartoon on page 16 of the paper (June 16th). Is it supposed to be funny on the day a man is laid to rest? Would whoever did this so-called cartoon like to see a similar one about his own father on the day of him being laid to rest? How much lower can you go? I will never again buy your paper. - Yours, etc,
ANDREW J KENNY, Birr, Co Offaly.
