Sir, - The half-page article and photographs (February 13th), headed "Boy dies as heavy lorry crushes two cars on hill at Slane," shows graphically the daily carnage on Irish roads. It is ironic that the other half of the page is taken up by an advertisement for a car that can go from 0-100 km in 8.5 seconds and has a top speed of 133.6 m.p.h. when the national speed is 70 m.p.h.! - Yours, etc.
