Decisions for the wellbeing of all

Sir, – Wouldn’t it be wonderful if starting from today all decisions made in this country were made with the wellbeing of all our people in mind, especially the most vulnerable? For too long now it seems decisions have been made for the good of the economy, or to please the markets, or for the benefit of one section of society. Let the first and foremost question asked and answered be, “How will this affect the daily quality of life of all our people today and in the future?” If it will affect some people negatively then the decision needs to be examined again. – Yours, etc,
