Madam, - I agree with every word Frank McNally (An Irishman's Diary, December 12th) had to say about the soapy little potatoes that are now served in all restaurants, and about the much vaunted and equally soapy Roosters.
Is there any chance that restaurants might cater for those who prefer a floury potato? As far as I am concerned their present offerings are inedible. - Yours, etc,
