Sir, – Paul Cullen (Home News, January 25th) reports that Minister for Health James Reilly has left 12 vacant seats on the board developing the national children’s hospital. It would appear also that a “turf war” has erupted between St James’s Hospital and the Health Service Executive over control of the project. Where are the sick children in all of this?
Heart Children Ireland, supporting families and children born with a congenital heart defect, is shocked at this further delay. We are appealing to the Minister to stop this affront to sick children, and build the hospital now. – Yours, etc,
