Sir, – All who love Trinity College will be saddened by the news ("TCD granted permission for €70m business school", August 15th) that the Luce Hall is to be demolished, if only because this name, honoured by all who remember Dr AA Luce and his son Dr JV Luce, a fine Irish sportsman, will no longer be part of the daily vocabulary of the undergraduates.
May I suggest that the college authorities find some other concrete way of commemorating these men?
