Sir, – Paul Kelly (May 11th) criticises the Minister of Justice for his description of those calling for a boycott of Israel as engaging in “cultural fascism”, while being silent on Israel’s anti-Palestinian activities.

Might I venture to suggest that his point might have had much more credibility had he himself not been deafeningly silent in his letter about the three major wars of attempted invasion and annihilation of the Israeli state and its people (in 1948, 1967, and 1973); and also silent about the many thousands of rockets that have showered down on Israeli civilians during the past eight years. This is a conflict of two rights and two wrongs, not one right and one wrong. – Yours, etc,
