Madam, - The people of the Kingdom of Kerry must arise and see the plunder of their country. A golf course is planned for Inch Beach, one of the finest strands in Europe. This is a place of rare beauty, of peace and quiet to be used by all our people. We have to protect our beaches, lakes and rivers from ruthless developers interested only in making money.
Our turloughs and small lakes are being filled in. Farrantoreen Lake near Killorglin is being converted into land. It was once a haven for water hens, ducks and other wildlife. Good usable buildings being demolished to suit developers. People must have peace and quiet. These are rare gems, and must be protected for us, and future generations to enjoy. Tourists come here to see and enjoy the great beauty of our county. We must say: Stop. - Yours, etc.,
