Sir, – Further to "From Tuam to Houston – An Irishman's Diary on Dick Dowling and Confederate history" (June 29th), there was actually a fairly major street in Houston named Dowling Street.
In 2017, it was renamed Emancipation Avenue. – Yours, etc,
