Sir, - I was outraged at the feature describing the Dixons Group takeover of Harry Moore (February 10th).
It is factually wrong, misleading and undermines the security of the vast majority of the Harry Moore employees who we are delighted to retain.
Only 15 store staff (with short service) have been told that their job is at risk - although we will do everything to find alternatives for them. This is only 15 of the 67 employees in the retail business. The remaining 52 have been offered secure contracts of employment with us. Looking ahead, we plan to continue to expand in Dublin and the surrounding area, creating many more jobs. Alarmist and irresponsible journalism such as yours destroys confidence in our employees and creates a working environment of distrust - when we are doing everything possible to not only maintain jobs but expand. - Yours, etc.,
