Do the banks care about their customers?

Madam, - AIB's decision to dispense with a long-standing service to loyal customers - that of storing title documents on their behalf - will cause both distress and concern, especially to senior citizens. These customers only alternative now will be to retain their deeds in their homes with all of the attendant risks. Is this not a shabby and disloyal way to treat customers who down through the years loyally supported the same bank and contributed to its profits?

The message being transmitted is that the banks' profits take precedence over customers' needs and that any service that does not produce a profit is to be discarded.
