Madam, - We are making a documentary on the life and times of Dr Kathleen Lynn, who was chief medical officer of the Irish Citizen Army, a suffragette, a doctor, and founder of St Ultan's hospital in Dublin's Charlemont Street.
Dr Lynn, who was one of the great humanitarians of 20th-century Ireland, made her mark in many strands of Irish society - through her work at the hospital, her fight against poverty and disease, her career as a politician, her involvement with Republican prisoners and her role in the fund to save German children.
