Sir, - While walking around Sandycove, a beautiful seaside spot, I am stuck - sorry, struck - by the copious amounts of dog excrement all over the place. It's offensive. Dog owners (of which I am one) need to be responsible and more considerate towards their neighbours, the community at large and especially people pushing buggies and walking with small children.
Bring a plastic bag with you and clean up your dog's mess. - Yours, etc.,
