Dogs and the heat

Sir, – After watching so many people taking their dogs out for a walk during the hottest part of the day, I must speak. Dogs should not be walked between 11am and 3pm in these temperatures.

Do not forget, they are wearing fur coats. Add to this, they are walking on scorching hot ground, searing their paws. The maximum temperature to walk a dog is 19 degrees.

Heat stroke, seared paws, thirst – you are exposing your dog to all of this.
