Sir, - I am glad you printed Christina de Roiste's letter calling attention to the injustice of continued denial to her son, Donal, of the files detailing the accusations which were made against him (amy 20th).
Now that Bertie Ahern has been re-elected, I do hope that he will brush aside whatever are the reasons given for non-release of these files and give the Roche family their right to try to clear Donal's name.
Otherwise, we, the public, have a right to be told on what grounds this information is being withheld so that we can pass judgment on whether or not we approve of a State which acts in this way. - Yours, etc.,
