A chara, – News of student dropout rates in third-level institutions suggests that second-level "league tables" are as inaccurate as most of us have always suspected ("Concern over dropout rates in computer science courses", January 11th).
Would such tables provide better service by tabulating the details of pupils who survive a full year in a third-level institution? This might tell us which schools actually educate rather than just coach exam technique. – Is mise,
