ALICE SMYTH,
Sir, - The miserable experiences of Susan Connolly (July 29th) minimise my own recent encounter with Dublin Airport!
Having parked my car in the overflow long-term car park behind the Southern Hotel, I approached the organiser of the red courtesy bus, showed my red ticket, and was told to join the queue. After about 15 minutes when I was about to board the bus, I was informed that I was in the wrong line as my ticket had "purple" printed on it. I was instructed to go to the "green bus".
The stop for this was at the other side of the parking block. Two Air Coach buses blocked the green stop. A gentleman approached and asked what bus I was waiting for. He then informed me that a white bus had replaced the green one and was parked in the short-term car park!
How would a non-English- speaking tourist cope with this? - Yours, etc.,
ALICE SMYTH, Piltown, Drogheda.
