Sir, - In your article headed "The LUAS Bashers' Real Agenda" (August 16th) you say, in relation to the Semaly/EPO study: "The scramble by the Chamber of Commerce and others to denounce this work as superficial when they seem quite prepared to go along with an inadequately researched and costed underground plan, the so called Unified Proposal, speaks volumes about their real agenda."The Dublin Chamber of Commerce has never denounced this work or described it as superficial, it has simply called for a detailed analysis of the merits of the different options. It has never formally endorsed or "gone along with" the "Unified Proposal". It has, however, sought a full examination of the underground option for the city centre. - Yours, etc.
