Sir, - The Dublin Branch of the Samaritans is holding an information evening in the Bank of Ireland Arts Centre, Foster Place, Dublin 2 on Friday, September 7th at 8 p.m.
The Samaritans offer a unique 24-hour service, seven days a week to provide a caring and non-judgmental ear for people in distress. Without volunteers, we couldn't have been here for the 113,000 people who called the Dublin Samaritans last year.
As September is traditionally a time when many people consider getting involved in a new activity, we would ask people to come along, hear about what we do and talk to some Samaritan volunteers.
