Sir, – The establishment of an education ombudsman’s office could, if properly conceived and resourced, herald a new era in Irish education where students’ and parents’ voices are afforded appropriate status in policy formation and implementation.
Great credit is due to Jim Daly TD for bringing forward this proposal and Taoiseach Enda Kenny for ensuring Cabinet agreement .
