Sir, – After this election, perhaps we could consider a different sort of quota. I honestly believe it would be in the country’s best interest if we could limit the number of school teachers and solicitors in the Dáil and our county councils. Frankly I couldn’t care less what the gender of our representatives is, as long as the people who are making important decisions on our behalf have some real-life experience outside of the staffroom.– Yours, etc,
