Madam, - I have been very much struck by the official disapproval of the roadside electrical signs soliciting electoral support for Ms Avril Doyle MEP, which was reported recently in the media. It appears to have led to the removal of the signs, in this area of Wicklow at least. Similar signs seeking support for Ms Mildred Fox TD in the Wicklow-Carlow constituency at the time of the last general election seemed to pass without comment and to survive until election day.
