Sir, - I have just returned from a short break in Nerja on the Costa del Sol.
The euro is making the exorbitant prices generally charged in this country for dining out very evident. They are a threat to Ireland as a tourist destination.
As an example, in one of Nerja's top restaurants, Da Vicense, I had a large grilled sole, real chips and a half bottle of superb wine uncorked at the table. All this in splendid surroundings with great service.
