Madam, - Three points with regard to your front-page report of May 22nd, "Poll predicts Euro elections will provide major surprises".
Polls do not predict; political correspondents do, maybe on the basis of poll findings.
Predictions having been made of surprising results, these results - if they occur - are no longer surprises.
An Irish Examiner/Prime Time poll had already offered a similar finding for the South constituency, though with one significant disparity. Your report did not refer to this - so no surprise there either. - Yours, etc.,
