Sir, - Property, and the pursuance of its possession, is often a very distasteful business. I once witnessed an eviction, and it was a degrading and undignified affair, even for the men who hurriedly and efficiently put a lifetime's accumulation of worldly goods on to the street.
The men carrying out the "work" were unaware of their indignity as they smirked and grinned at each other, whenever something they brought out caused them amusement. One could tell how they felt, as they were unmasked.
