Sir, – I recently went to London for a weekend; the total for my flight from Waterford to Luton, two nights for a hotel at Lancaster Gate, including breakfast, a ticket to see Damian Lewis in a West End play, a ticket to the Impressionist exhibition in the National Gallery, and a ticket for an exhibition at the V&A, came to €330. I tried today to book a room for one night in Dublin in a well-known hotel on O’Connell Street for October 24th – €205 for one night without breakfast. Somehow I think London is the better option. – Yours, etc,
MARY BURKE,
Clonmel,
Co Tipperary.
