Madam, - I bought a copy of Golf Monthly in Easons recently. It was priced in Sterling at £3.70, but when I came to pay for it the price was €6.49.
Assuming an exchange rate of 67p to one euro, the correct price therefore should have been €5.22. This represents a mark-up of 24 per cent; another fine example of why our inflation rate keeps rising. - Yours, etc,
DAN WALSH, Griffith Downs, Dublin 9.
