Sir, - Congratulations on a fine publication, Exposure 2000 (The Irish Times, February 5th. Such a wonderful collection of photographs - all of them better than the image so inappropriately and selected for the front cover.
With all the many memorable events and success stories in 2000, it is, in my opinion, a sad reflection on The Irish Times that such an image gets pride of place in this publication.
Why, for instance, was young Sarah Kavanagh on page 91 not promoted to the cover? Her image and contribution to Irish life are considerably more worthy. Ireland does not want to remember such blatant and arrogant men as being the main feature of the millennium year.
