Madam, - Last Saturday's edition of your newspaper carried two reports - by Tom Humphries (on Francis Barrett) and Mary Minihan (on Jack Charlton's DVD-signing) - which used the words "green, white and gold" in describing the nation's flag.

I would ask both writers to revisit Article 7 of the Constitution, wherein it clearly states that the third section of the Tricolour is orange. - Yours, etc,
