Sir, – Manchán Magan (Magazine, August 5th) seems to confuse fact with opinion in his piece on Céide Fields.
His/Prof Seamus Caulfield's opinion regarding my recent article in the European Journal of Archaeology – in which I question the Stone Age origins of the field boundaries – should be balanced against the professional judgment of the peer reviewers and editors of one of the world's leading archaeological journals.
