Madam, - In his report of the Leinster Schools Senior Cup rugby draw (Sport, December 12th), Gavin Cummiskey writes that St Michael's College is "due" to face Belvedere College in the quarter-final of the competition.
Later in his piece, he adds that "whoever prevails from the Belvedere v St Michael's encounter will carry a dangerous momentum" into the semi-final.
Has Mr Cummiskey overlooked the fact that Belvedere have first to play St Andrew's College, and that St Michael's have first to play St Gerard's School before the quarter-final? Or could it be that he regards himself as more of a clairvoyant than a reporter? - Yours, etc,
