Sir, – Could the makers of RTÉ's Fair City TV drama not think of some other story than one involving the kidnap, physical and psychological abuse of a young woman? Besides the story not being original, the increasingly preposterous and drawn-out nature of the plotline is offensive to women everywhere. – Yours, etc,
