Madam, - With reference to Henry Grattan Bellew's letter of July 24th about traffic chaos on the N11 past Jack White's pub on the previous Saturday and the lack of guidance from gardaí, I can only hope that he was unaware that three people lost their lives in a two-car crash that caused that hold-up.
I believe gardaí and other emergency services had more to do than worry about some inconvenience to other road users. - Yours, etc.,
