Sir, – After the recent “disappearance” and presumed murder of the Saudi dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi in his country’s Istanbul consulate, and now that the finger of suspicion clearly points to a key western ally, can we expect the same chorus of condemnation followed by the expulsion of diplomats and the imposition of sanctions from Britain, America and other European countries, including our own?
