Sir, - I refer to an article in your paper (July 26th) entitled "Clerical sex victims now more willing to act" in which the author said on two occasions in the one paragraph that 23 priests and religious were convicted on child sex abuse charges in both jurisdictions in this country. While the author did go on in the next paragraph to say that I was one of these priests who pleaded not guilty and was acquitted, I would like to make it absolutely clear that I was never convicted but was unanimously acquitted on all charges against me by the jury at my trial. - Yours, etc.,
