Sir, – Micheál Martin has apologised to the Irish nation, on behalf of Fianna Fáil, for the mistakes that they made during the Ahern/Cowen administrations. Mr Martin was a Cabinet Minister throughout these administrations and knows exactly what happened during this period. When he furnishes the Irish nation with precise details of the interaction between politics, banking and builder/developers, I will then consider whether or not to take his apology seriously. – Yours, etc,
