Sir, – Although nothing has been proven in relation to the allegations against certain Fifa officials, we are already missing the dry wit of the late Bill O’Herlihy who would surely point out that it took Americans – who don’t even call the so-called “beautiful game” football – to do more than talk and actually to act on Fifa.
