Sir, – Regarding a letter writer’s plea (February 26th) for Dublin to take water from the Shannon “now”, it should be noted that the reservoirs are full. It’s winter. The proposed Shannon pipeline will do little to alleviate Shannon flooding, as the main draw-off requirement will be in the dry summer months. – Yours, etc,
