Fodder Shortage

Sir, - A shortage of fodder is no excuse for allowing animals to suffer malnutrition and starvation

Sir, - A shortage of fodder is no excuse for allowing animals to suffer malnutrition and starvation. Were these animals deliberately starved to death because it was not profitable to feed them? Why were they not sold off before their condition was allowed to deteriorate. The Government must put measures in place to ensure that farmers do not get into such a desperate situation again. The responsibility also rests with individuals to ask for help. And where animals have suffered cruelty, those responsible must be prosecuted. - Yours, etc., Louise Kiernan,
