Madam, - The Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, John O'Donoghue, hopes that our facilities in 2012 "match up to the aspirations of the elite athletes and teams who may be considering Ireland as an ideal location to finalise their preparations for the Olympic Games" (August 24th).
Perhaps the creation of a host of pharmaceutical laboratories might entice these "elite" athletes to grace our shores. - Yours, etc,
