Sir, – I must say I laughed when I saw the headline "Gardai are tto crack down on Dublin motorists who drive at excessive speeds" (November 27th).
Why not report bus drivers will drive buses or doctors will see patients? This is the job of the Garda. Why is it news when it is proposing to do its job?
Surely the more obvious story is “Garda has not been cracking down on motorists driving at excessive speeds”. – Yours, etc,
