Madam - Joe Humphreys's report in your edition of March 9th is as clear a piece as I have read about the 1994 Rwandan genocide.
When the "great and the good" assemble in Kigali on April 7th to remember the million souls who perished 10 years ago they should hang their heads in shame of the international inaction. And they must not forget the 360,000 people who perished at the hands of the Rwandan government which carried out revenge killings in the Congo.
There are no winners in genocide but perhaps the minute's silence in Gisozi burial ground will be the moment when international leaders came to realise it is time for the world's population to be treated with respect. As they stand among the mass graves maybe they will reflect on where the ongoing neglect of half the world's population is leading us. - Yours, etc.,
