Sir, – Brian Boyd, in "Gentrification protests a storm in a skinny latté" (Opinion & Analysis, February 3rd), writes of "waking up one day to find civil servants have moved in beside you to wreck your authentic community buzz". At least the poor hipsters can take solace in the fact that their new civil servant neighbours may share a common dress code of sandals, tank tops, check shirt and the dreaded beard. Irony of ironies? – Yours, etc,
MIKE MORAN,
Clontarf, Dublin 3.
